Sports events are always welcome and appreciated in San Remo. The Milano-San Remo cycling race is but an example.
There are plenty of sports facilities in town, e.g. tennis courts.
If you like equestrian sports, then here you can find a riding ground and a riding school.
Two harbours - Porto Vecchio and Portosole - will be waiting for you as well. At Portosole 890 boats can find anchorage. It is definitely the feather in San Remo's cap as far as pleasure boating is concerned.
Sailing or motorboating is a lovely experience and you can enjoy it all along the coast. This is especially true in Ventimiglia, San Remo, Bordighera, Santo Stefano al Mare, Imperia, Diano Marina, and San Bartolomeo al Mare. Wind surfing, canoeing, and diving are also possible - and in Ventimiglia you will find marvellous seabed.
What about discovering the splendid landscape surrounding San Remo by bicycle? There are plenty of itineraries that can suit all your needs and will take you both to the hinterland and along the coast.
San Remo can also offer you its 18-hole golf course - and here you can play golf all year round. The golf club "Golf degli Ulivi" was opened in 1931 and can suit both beginners and experts.
But you can also choose something more daring, such as bungee jumping from the Ponte di Loreto (i.e., Loreto Bridge - next to Triora) or free climbing at Verdeggia. Finally you can also play softball and baseball.
